Cold Blue Sky

For the first time this year the ice warning indicator came on in my car. It's not a very useful indicator as it just comes on any time the air temperature is below 5 degrees but it is still a reminder that winter is on its way. On the other hand it felt much ligher this morning thanks to the end of British Summer Time... Or perhaps it was just that for the first time in ages blue sky and sun were visible instead of heavy grey rainclouds.

I hope everyone survived the weekend without drowning or being blown away!

We had MrsCyclops parents staying last night. it's always an excuse to make good food and open some good wine to go with the good company. They had fun trying to get to us though - both the routes they would normally take to get from the Lake District to the motorway were closed due to flooding!
