Still Life with Asphalt - and Leaf

This perky green leaf appeared to be making a valiant effort to pull itself off the cold, hard asphalt road. Its upright stance begged for a photo and so here it is. Lola Malu has become such wonderful blip-dog companion on these jaunts around the neighborhood. I can trust her completely to stay by me on her own without needing to hang onto her leash. She waits very patiently, watching as I snap away.
