Morris

My Mother bought this Morris Minor/1000 brand new in 1967 and I took it on when she died.  It was the first car I drove after passing my driving test and still does sterling service as our second car.

I guess there are not many people of 65 (well, almost) who can say that they are still driving their first car!

It just struck me as I walked through the garage with the reflection and the band down the middle of the bonnet.  The designer, Alex Issigonis, who later designed the Mini, decided that the car was too narrow, so developed this solution to widen it without dramatically changing the moulds.  You can still get spare parts.
