An Osprey!!

It was the Birdwatching group today. It was pouring with rain and high winds so I'd never have chosen to go on my own but as it was a group visit braved the weather. We went to Wood Lane Nature Reserve at Ellesmere and for most of the morning there was nothing much to see apart from ducks and geese. Just before we left we spotted a Mediterranean gull then a great treat - an osprey on a bush. It sat there for a while before before flying out of sight. A bit of a shock for it after Africa! Not a great photo as it was a long way away but I was pleased to get a shot at all!

The second shot is the inside of my concertina - such amazing intricacy! It needed to have an air button repaired (not by me of course!)
