Weed
I am at my elderly mother's house working through a list of chores. One of them (a big one) is to weed the garden, so that doesn't leave much time for going out on blip-hunts.
In her garden, there are two prolific annual weeds that each have minute pale-blue flowers (around 1mm across). This one is either Valerianella locusta or Valerianella carinata (they can apparently be told apart by microscopic examination of their seeds). Common names include Lamb's Lettuce and Cornsalad.
The other weed is a species of speedwell (yet to be determined). It may also form the subject of a future blip.
Thanks everyone for your recent comments and stars. Much apreciated. Still struggling with a slow conection from this location. Should be back to normal in a week's time.
