May Blossom

I brought this piece of blossom indoors as it was just too breezy out in the garden to get a clear shot.  It is one of q lot this year on a young Bramley tree we planted five or six years ago.  Last year we managed enough for one apple pie but this year we are optimistic for pies galore.

Not a very exciting day today - some tidying up, the dentist and, of course, voting.  We are in the position of having the speaker of the H of C as our MP so no other major party will stand against him.... in effect we have no real alternative on the voting paper!  This is a shame as I know it has put my son off coming back to vote as he doesn't see the point - his vote will make no difference.  I can see  where he's coming from and fear that many will think along similar lines.  All those people in the past who fought hard for the right to vote and so many of our population feel disenfranchised.  Sad.

We shall await the outcome!
