Working barges on the River Severn

We are staying in Upton upon Severn for the night as we are visiting the RHS Spring Show tomorrow. It's a delightful small town with lots of interesting old shops and historical buildings. It use to be a thriving port and still has a large number of pubs and buildings dating from this time. We are staying the night in a hotel that dates from 1510.

Despite all this history I have included a shot taken when we went for a walk along the River Severn. We came across what appears to be a sand quarry that transports their products via the river.
