Spider
After voting we walked back along the canal and marshes. It was warmish with a hint of sun. First baby moorhens; heard Cetti's warblers and first sedge warblers . No butterflies but some small tortoiseshell and drinker moth caterpillars; various beetles including these Willow Beetles. Also amongst the nettles in small silk woven hides some spiders. I think they are probably Larinioides cornutus or possibly Mothercare Spiders. Lots of martins and swallows flying over and later on we saw the first swifts.
In the garden today Gopher found 2 more baby slow worms, making 3 in total. The wren is still adding to the nest. and Mrs Bluetit is still sitting, the eggs must be due to hatch any hour now.
