Music, Art and Poetry

I awoke too early
and turned on the TV.
Now I’m feeling miserable.
Oh what can the matter be?

It’s that nothing really changes
and that we’ve seen it all before.
Though there appears to be no alternative
to what we know’s in store.

It’s farewell to Miliband
and, hopefully, to Farage.
But it looks like smarmy Cameron
is still the man in charge.

Thankfully I’ve got music,
art and poetry.
And at least I’m not in Scotland
(I hate the SNP!).
