Goats.
This morning we had a long walk along the green corridor in Newcastle. This is an area of walks, trees, wild flowers, and wildlife. We started at Heaton Park, with it's organised flower beds, bowling green and small Italian restaurant in the middle, before moving on to Armstrong Park, which is given over to wildlife. Trees that are pruned are left for the beetles and bugs, flowers are allowed to grow anywhere, and the grass is long, perfect for small animals to hide in. Next came Jesmond Dene. This is huge parkland where you can walk, play or sit and watch people enjoy their leisure. There are tennis courts, a children's play area, and a pet's corner, but mainly it is left to grow wild.
We called in to pet's corner as we love to watch the reactions of the small children. These goats were having a great time stripping the bark off these branches, that had been put into their enclosure by the keeper. It kept them occupied for a long while.
