Interesting facts: Found mainly in the highlands of Eastern Asia; the Himalayas, Japan, Malaysia and Indonesia. Often grown in formal gardens or landscape settings as hedging, edging or topiary. For the beverage variety - the tea plant (Camellia sinensis) is the source of commercially grown tea.
