Shimmer
This is the weekend that the bluebells should peak. When they are at their best, the woodland floor recedes into a shimmering blue.
Not this year at Burleigh Wood. Yesterday's rain, and people like me who want to take photos, have been trampling them down.
Nonetheless, there was a hint of shimmer in this shot taken early this morning before the rains arrived.
Basil enjoys the bluebells. They're tall enough to be an adventure, but not so tall that he can't work out where he's going. He runs and jumps in them and follows all sorts of little paths.
Started on my EMA today, eventually, and then was overcome with fatigue. An hour in the armchair.
