The Wonderful 'Globe' Theatre
A fab day in London with B and M. We went to the Banqueting House and found out the fascinating history about this building, enhanced by the 'bean-bag' comfy chairs in the main hall where you could lay back in full comfort and view the magnificent ceiling painted by Reubens whilst listening to the audio guide...this idea should be used in other historic attractions where an extended upwards view is required.
Then after munching lunch in the sunshine by the Thames we went to the matinee performance of Romeo & Juliet at the wonderful Globe Theatre. An enthralling performance by very talented actors who not only delivered the play in an exciting way but also sang, danced and played musical instruments too. (please excuse the poor quality of photo...I only had my phone camera and we were in full sun).
We rounded off a perfect day with a meal overlooking St Pauls...brilliant!
