Beacon

Friday 8th May marks the 70th Anniversary of Victory in Europe, or VE, Day. Across the UK over 200 beacons were lit to commemorate the occasion. One was at Stirling Castle and another on Dumyat, a prominent hill overlooking the city and which has been a beacon post for many years.

You can see the beacon on Dumyat on the hilltop just to the right of the Wallace Monument.
