Sentinel

A very busy day here in Yosemite, starting with an early morning bike ride looping through the campground and back down the path by the Ahwahnee. Then a hike to the base of Vernal Falls with Mr S, who continued on to Nevada Falls alone. I came back, had a nice lunch in camp, read awhile and then went out to draw by the river. I am exhausted and so happy to be here. 

The dogwoods are scattered like surprises throughout the forest...white flowers glowing under the dark canopy.
