Cake

A great day with the boys today.

In the morning we went to the shop to get stuff to make a chocolate cake after Finlay decided yesterday that it would be a good idea. He 'helped' me make it and once it was ready he lovingly decorated it with wee animal things. It tasted ok but was obviously a bit rich as Finlay only managed a small bit. He even declined another bit when Susie's folks came round for a visit.

In the afternoon we went round to our friends to meet the wee boy they have just adopted. I say wee, but he's 6 and so isn't all that small. It was really nice to see that things were going well and he was as excited to see us as we were him. Finlay wanted to give him the bag of presents we'd brought but was actually shy for the first time ever. He got over his shyness pretty quickly though and had a thoroughly great time for the rest of the afternoon following his new 'big boy' friend around.
