Art Deco
Our stay at the midland Hotel was fabulous, lovely food and a very nice bottle of champagne!
The hotel was opened in 1933, and was frequented by famous people of the time, including Coco Channel, and Noël Coward. It was used as a hospital in the Second World War, but by 1998 it was closed.
It re opened after 10 years in 2008, after a massive refurbishment. It still retains its Art Deco feel, and the cantilevered staircase and ceiling mural are its highlight.
