A Day At A Time.

Perfect Day

Today is hot. Still. Blue. And hot.

We went for a walk to Duquesa, a little port some four kilometres along the beach, to have breakfast at a chiringuito we like.

But when we arrived, there it was. Gone. It has been replaced by a very smart new building, some short distance away from the sea and in accordance with the law. The same must happen to all similar establishments, which line the beach all the way along the coast.

Eventually. I don't think Juan's shack-like premises next to us will be moving any time soon. And on the plus side, although the new, shiny smart places do not have quite the same atmosphere as the older, ramshackle affairs, they do have health certificates. A definite advantage.

Soon we shall potter off to the beach for an hour or so, for a lie and a swim. And maybe later, we shall go for a bike ride to Torreguadiaro and find a little beachside bar for a beer.

It's a hard life, but there you go.

In other news, the AS Level paper sat yesterday by my pupils was as good as we could have hoped for, so that really does make today perfect.

Have a great weekend too.
