Three gorges Dam world's largest hydro scheme.

I had to do quite a bit of processing to make the dam clear because of the smog. Unfortunately, it was impossible to gain a better view as it is exceedingly secure!! 

It supplies power to a 1,000 mile radius geographically. It is the world's largest hydropower scheme. 100 million people were moved to enable the gorges to be flooded. New cities were built above the high water line.

An extraordinary project which had been in the planning stage for many, many years.

However, coal still provides over 90% of China's power.
