Tennyson Monument

Today, with Chrissel and Daisy, we met another friend, Janna, and walked from Headon Warren to Alum Bay, and then after a lovely lunch and cream tea, we then walked up Tennyson Down to the Tennyson Monument, before heading bak to Janna's house in Totland. The inscription on the Monument reads 'In memory of Alfred Lord Tennyson this cross is raised a beacon to sailors by the people of Freshwater and other friends in England and America'.
