At the library

Ever since I was a child, the library has been a kind of a sanctuary to me. In the old days it was of uttermost importance to be silent when visiting the library, and the librarians hushed at the children who were being too loud. Not any more. Now you don't have to whisper, and the children can talk all they want. I don't want it to be like in the old days, but I kind of liked the quiet atmosphere ;-) Isn't this typical of us human beings, we often desire things that are the opposite of each other. But as they say "You can't have your cake and eat it too".
