Backblip: Tyneside to Miami Beach!

Thanks so much to all those folks who wished us well for our travels.

We spent rather a lot of hours on planes, from Newcastle to Heathrow and then on to Miami: we're having a multi-centre trip as we wend our way to West Virginia for our son's wedding and decided to make Miami Beach the first port of call.

As you can see from the aerial photos, it was sunny at the start and the end of our journey, but there was a "not inconsiderable" difference in temperature!

One extra bonus of travelling abroad now is that we have got away from what will almost certainly be an interminable tide of drivel as one commentator after another pontificates on the UK election result :)
