Using up their nine lives!!!

Today has ended up being quite unexpected for several reasons!

I was due to work today, my mammoth 12 hour day from sea side to big city like last week but it was unexpectedly canceled last night by the Emergency Duty Team at 9pm - on full pay! ! Result!

So instead I went to see Daughter Number 1 to put up all her pictures and Hearts but when I got there, one of her kittens, Eric (the tabby one) looked very poorly. Emily said he was perfectly fine earlier that morning so couldn't understand what had happened. Taking on my Supervet knowledge I was able to suss out he had really hurt his back leg. He couldn't put it down when I tried to get him to walk, he was shaking and meowing out in pain so I packed him and Daughter Number 1 off to the vet convinced he had broken his leg. The vet then sent him up to the local Village Animal hospital for xrays but luckily got a second opinion and they decided it was just badly sprained and was sent home on painkillers. DN1 didn't want to have to cancel her nail appointment for her big night out tonight so Mummy kins went to pick him up and sit with both the boys till their mummy came home! Eric was looking much more comfortable and even managed to eat. He just wanted lots of fuss!

As for little Leo the ginge, he fell out of a second story window yesterday so both daughters had to scale fences to go and retrieve the poor little fellow. Luckily no damage was done (how i have no idea as he landed on concrete) but he needed lots of cuddles afterwards.

So, Daughter Number 1 and her flat mate have learned a very valuable lesson in the last few days and will be getting those boys insured pdq!!!

This picture was taken before Eric on the left was taken to the vet and little Leo was giving him a shoulder to lean on.

But I did manage to get all DN1's pictures up while she was gone and she loves them. Mr W even came and hung her wardrobe doors!

And I should still be at work! !!
