Lake lands

We split into two groups today - the hardcore crew took the high road and did a big ridge walk; and we took the low road with an 8 mile walk around the Patterdale/Brothers Water valley. We spotted dippers, swallows and goldfinches and enjoyed a small climb (400m) to this wonderful view. We rendezvoused at the Brother's Water Inn for an ale afterwards. Local lamb for dinner tonight...
