Charleston Farmhouse
I had a lovely trip out today to Charleston Farmhouse in East Sussex to visit the house where members of the Bloomsbury Group lived their rather charmed and bohemian lifestyle during the early part of the 20th century. I'd not been before and wasn't sure quite what to expect, but it was a very inspirational house and garden, particularly how Vanessa Bell and Duncan Grant had used their creative talents to decorate the house and much of the furniture. We then went on to Monks House, the weekend retreat of Virginia Woolf, again with an amazing garden.
