ONE PRECIOUS POINT

Got the bus at 1.15pm to go to Newcastle.  Off to the match.  Newcastle United v West Bromwich Albion. 3pm kick off.  Big traffic jam at Lobley Hill due to the slip road on to the A1 Northbound being closed.  Bus just crawled along all the way to Gateshead.  Good job I left plenty of time to get to the ground.

The match was a draw. Newcastle 1. WBA 1.  Newcastle could have done with 3 points as they are still in danger of being relegated but at least they didn't lose.  After 8 defeats in a row it was a relief that they didn't lose again.

I took a few photos of the Newcastle team warming up before kick off.  None of the shots  were really good so I have " fiddled " with this one a bit.  Its Jonás Gutiérrez  - my favourite player.  He played OK today I thought.

The weather this morning was cold and rainy so I went to the match with a thick coat on.  However the rain stopped, the sun came out and it turned out really warm.  

## Just wanted to say well done to local team North Shields. They beat Glossop North End in the FA Vase  ( The Football Association Challenge Vase) final at Wembley this afternoon.
