We took Merrick out to a local care center that specializes in treating adults with mental illness. As part of the therapy, they have a working farm, and a garden center. Usually, you aren't supposed to be on the grounds, but once a year, they have an open house.

Free popcorn and water, and face painting to go along with all the animals.

Rabbits, llamas, peacocks, chickens...
donkeys, horses, and sheep.
Neighs and brays, snorts and baas,
and plenty of little peeps.

I SO wanted to put up a llama or a rooster, but I just couldn't resist this picture of the little man. Plus...his grandma put the pressure on me. ;0)
