Moonshine over the Lagoon...
Taken on the stroke of midnight, shows that even a half moon can literally turn night into day, providing the exposure is long enough....
My new local location, the very same artificial lagoon that I used for yesterday's not very dawn like sunrise (or 150 Shades of Grey), but this time, camera is pointing south west, rather than east.
The camera's manually set White Balance makes the reddish orange browns of streetlight pollution go a more attractive candy pink and if you look closely enough, some stars peek through too. You can even spot the Cathedral Spire red light just reflected in the water (about 1/4 way in, from the left)
The tripod is in the water this time but this allows for a nice detailed grassy foreground.
Lens is Nikkor 10-24mm
Big thanks for all comments and everything on that Turner-ish study in lots of greys yesterday. This is rather less ominous and hopefully you'll find, a bit more beautiful. It's certainly a lot more colourful!
