Studying the Map
The view towards Loch Lomond from the Whangie.
I liked the stone crones trying to work out where they are ... they're probably the ones who were meeting with the Devil when he created the Whangie by whipping his tail across Auchineden Hill.
That's how the story goes, anyway! Alternatively, the Whangie is a geological fault 50 foot deep and 300 foot long, caused by something called glacial plucking, which I'd never heard of.
It's at the end of a very lovely walk not far from Drymen, with stunning views across to Loch Lomond.
