Pre MonoMonday - The Twilight Zone
Tomorrow is Twilight Zone Day. I was blown away by the response to Star Wars Day so I am expecting great things again this week.
The Twilight Zone was a TV series of unrelated stories containing drama, psychological thriller, fantasy, science fiction, suspense and/or horror. The conclusion was often macabre or contained an unexpected twist.
The brain child of Rod Serling, it aired from 1959 to 1964, so the theme is perfect for black and white.
The series was also made into a movie in 1983.
There is a fifth dimension beyond that which is known to man. It is a dimension as vast as space and as timeless as infinity. It is the middle ground between light and shadow, between science and superstition, and it lies between the pit of man's fears and the summit of his knowledge. This is the dimension of imagination. It is an area which we call the Twilight Zone.
For inspiration, you might want to watch some episodes or think back to some classic scenes from B & W movies. I also Googled surreal photography for some ideas.Tomorrow, I want to be SCARED, INTRIGUED; FASCINATED; all you need is your imagination. rainie's blip from yesterday should get you thinking.
To put yourself in the mood, turn out the lights and listen to this.
Thanks to hubby for suggesting I blip our flying saucer light over the dining table. And you should be reassured to know that I have NO idea what I am going to blip tomorrow.
