History lesson

Archbishop Henry Chichele (b. 1364) who became the founder of All Souls College, Oxford was born in Higham Ferrers.  He made three  important gifts to the town and two of them stand in the grounds of the Parish Church.  The Bede House in the right and the Chantry Chapel (formerly a Grammar School until the early 20th century) on the left.  (Extra photo)  Both are historic architectural gems.  The third, Chichele College is a few hundred yards away.
