THE JOY OF MOTHERHOOD

I spotted this mare and foal a couple of days ago and made a mental note to return to get some pictures of them interacting. I'm not sure if mum recognised me from a photo session a few months back because she showed no signs of fear at all, only complete trust. She even came up to me and allowed me to stroke her. Then came the best part of all, her young son started to lick the back of my hand and continued to do so for a good couple of minutes. I felt very privileged to be trusted and welcomed by these two beautiful animals. I've included a few extras for you to enjoy!
