New blooms

Almost every day a new flower or bush starts to bloom. This is one of our gorse bushes. We seem to have quite a few varieties. And we didn't plant them. We had one bi-coloured one which died but we have about 5 different ones in our garden. Just a new purple one we bought which doesn't bloom yet. 

Was a lovely day today. Sunny, windy, relaxed. We had both of our parents round as it's Mothering Sunday and we had a nice cup of tea/coffee with a yummy cake the only one I manage. With meringue, gooseberries, whipped cream and sprinkled with sliced almonds. Mmh. No dinner tonight....
