Off to the tip!

You always know your holiday is over when you have to do a trip to the tip! So this afternoon with car boot and back seat loaded with cardboard boxes I went off to our local "eco friendly recycling facility" (sounds much posher than tip doesn't it!)

It really is state of the art and I am like most people who would rather recycle than bury our rubbish. Our facility has about 30 of these bays (see last photo bottom left) all occupied by massive skips - some are open and others are closed whilst stuff is removed etc. The JCB (I met the original founder of JCB by the way, many years ago but that's another story) has a huge basher thingy (highly technical) on the front to bash down all the cardboard etc. Its great to be there when they are doing that! Words like "big boys toys" come to mind.

Anyway I'm pleased I've done my recycling bit for today!
