Boat roof oo-thoos
Once a boat was beyond repair and no longer seaworthy it was put to use as a roof for an 'oot-hoos (shed or outside building). Once tarred the roof was watertight the 'oot-hoos' could then be used as a hen house, animal shelter or as a shed.
There are still quite a few to be found in Shetland, this one is in Yell.
