The Pageant

I spent most of the afternoon watching the TV coverage of the Thames Boat Pageant for the Queen's Diamond Jubilee.
What an amazing spectacle and I really wish that I had been there to soak up the excitement and atmosphere. I really loved it when the National Theatre put on a show with the War Horse moving up on the roof - the Queen's eyes really lit up and she obviously loved it.
A great day for London and all the organizers who must be very relieved that it all went off safely without any hitches.
I bet the Queen was dying to put her feet up and have a cuppa.
