spontaneous Dortmund

plan was to go to Obernhausen for shopping and continue from there to Duisburg just to be tourist and see the places. While we were checking when the next train is leaving Sebastian noticed an info on the board that today we could travle with the travelcard with the ICE train (fastest train that they have) to Dortmund. The train was leaving in 3min and just cause we wanted to try ICE train (as it's normally so expensive that students like us can't go with that) we didn't think at all we just ran for the train :D

So we found ourselves from Dortmund in 20min. The train was cool. Reminded me of fine cabins at the Swedish cruise on Silja Line haha :D And for our luck the city was pretty big and cool 8 ) so not a bad spontaneous idea at all! and there was choirs singing everywhere as it was the national Sing! day all over in Ruhr area. mostly there was gospel choirs but there was also a choir singing Nirvana and this funny band playing all cool songs :)

we enjoyed a beer in the local brewery, got salmon sandwiches from the marketplace and went around without a plan. was a cool day :) in the evening we tasted some more beer and got out with my work mate. They have really nice sitting places here, like living rooms where to chill and hang around with good company.

I also taught some finnish words for Sebastian and always when he didn't get those he just was quiet and asked... was, Mika Häkkinen? oh maan.. :D
