Autumn ... Deans Bank

Monday is the day when we go out for a walk along one of the many tracks that are available in this area.  Eleven of us met as usual at 10a.m. and headed to the Deans Bank track starting at Albert Town.  The idea was to walk up the true left of the Clutha River to Dublin Bay.  When we got out of the cars it was bucketing down with rain, but because we were all clad in wet weather gear decided to head off.  We just got to the top of the first hill, (after 5 minutes), when we all decided to head to a local café for a coffee!  We were hoping that the weather would clear after an hour, but that didn't happen, so we all ended up going home to a nice warm fire!  This photo is of Judith heading back down the track to the cars.

This afternoon I started to read the first of my new kindle books, 'A biography of Princess Margaret'.  I am enjoying the read so far.

Still raining, so I'll put another log on the fire!

P.S.  Just heard that Prince Harry is staying the night in Wanaka, just a shame that he missed our blipmeet!
