We head off to Newport station to collect K2 on arrival from London, visiting to cover the election night for Sky in the Forest of Dean.  We're due there at 7pm, ready for her to get set up ready to film the count. 
Our day seems quite organised, visit Dad to get lunch, off to station to collect K2, back home to vote, drive to Forest of Dean.  All going well and then we hit Monmouth.  Horrendous queues backing up out of the town towards Ross.  K remembers another route into the Forest from her days at RFDC, so we follow her directions and find ourselves on a really stunning back road into the Forest.
A meal at The Speech House, a former 17th century hunting lodge, sets us up for the evening.  We arrive at Cinderford where K2 meets up with her colleague for the night, S from Cardiff.  She has the camera gear and they unload and head in to set up.  The declaration is expected sometime after 7am tomorrow morning so it's going to be a long night for them.  K and I head off to find her ex-colleagues from RFDC days, we've got a comfortable bed booked for the night!  A and B are very welcoming and we're soon settled, K has catch-up and I stuff my face with home-made cake and tea,  Early night for us at 11.30 after the early results in Sunderland are announced.  Little do we know how wrong the exit polls and predictions are going to be.
