Picked this up in my travels with work today and brought to mind the gorgeous avenue of trees in Wentworth Street in Blackheath.

Recently these were attacked again by Asplundh - the tree butchers, on behalf of Endeavour Energy.  Three times we stopped them from cutting the trees, requesting a meeting on site, but every time a week or so later they started up again, no meeting, and feigning ignorance.  They have now seriously weakened the trees and have not done the work within their own guidelines.

If you see Asplundh cutting trees that you don't think need to be cut, or perhaps cutting an important tree, then you can ask them to stop and get the arborist to meet with you on site, or with someone else on site to discuss it.  

Feel free to contact me any time you are concerned about a trees future in the hands of this company.  We have a say in how our village looks and we don't have to take their 'pruning' as a fait accompli.
