Bonsall
We were just shy of the planned 25 miles on yesterday's bike ride, mainly due to losing Cycle Route 6 just after Attenborough, but I feel we were sufficiently tired out and sore of thigh anyway by the time we finished and it was pretty impressive of us to get started at all given that we had to replace one of Beck's inner tubes first. We kept today's walk fairly short accordingly but made up in steepness what we sacrificed in length. We went out to Matlock Bath, climbed the cliff up past the Heights of Abraham, looped down through Bonsall and came back round through the woods. Unfortunately, we missed the turn that would have bought us back over the footbridge below the Heights and ended up going back over the top again. Also unfortunately, there was still the job of moving two thirds of the downstairs furniture in with the remaining third to sort out to allow the sand and seal man the necessary access to our floorboards tomorrow - we'll be camping out in the dining room - decked out like a wheel-less caravan - for the next few days...
