Sitting in the Park
This evening we are attending a charity quiz night in aid of the Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation. It was held at the Ashvale, a fish and chip restaurant in the West End of Aberdeen which is well set up for charity events. The price of the tickets mainly covered the cost of the meal, and most of the funds were raised through raffles, and other ways of parting people from their money. As I am writing in catch up mode, I can say the evening raised £1,140, which is a lot more than we managed to raise with our car boot sales.
Earlier the day was quite cool so we were not terribly adventurous. The picture is taken inside the Wintergarden at Duthie park it looks quite sunny. In fact in a spot with was shaded from the wind, but in the sun it did feel quite warm. We found such a spot in the garden in between the glass houses. Felt quite cool when we emerged from shelter though!
