The Angel of the North; The Monkey of the South

Our short trip up North came to an end today, so with a tear or two, from Monkey of course, we set sail down South. As the rain had to set in on our route up we decided we'd take a pit stop at the Angel on our return journey instead.

I'd stopped by the Angel a few years ago with Dad on our mini tour of Northern England via John O'Groats & so it was nice to take Monkey along this time. It was also Jen's first visit & important too as she equates the Angel as a sign of arriving home.

Amongst all the travelling & sightseeing we did manage to celebrate the Diamond Jubilee with some friends too. Rock on HMtheQ!
