So, so proud of her

Just got in after a long day at work and the evening at an exhibition launch.

Quotidian had been asked to join a group of artists who are really well organised, they have two cracking galleries and are in the process of converting an old warehouse into studio space. The launch was really well attended.

Anyway, her piece was really moving, comprising 40+ hand made ceramic forms, each with the name of a soldier from the lancashire fusiliers stamped into it and with glaze smeared into the letters. The soldiers all lost their lives in the world wars.

The piece was all about heroism and sacrifice. It looked fantastic in the gallery and i never cease to be amazed at how she transforms an idea into a beautiful piece.

I admire her, i am proud of her... shes cool :)
