The old Lilac bush...

"Syringa (Lilac) is a genus of 12 currently recognized species of flowering woody plants in the olive family (Oleaceae), native to woodland and scrub from southeastern Europe to eastern Asia."

It's all about the fragrance.
They are in everyone's garden in the old neighborhood.
I swear every child in my elementary classes would bring Lilacs to the teacher.
They are simply wonderful.
