Sitting Up

Been an odd sort of day today. It's ending with me on the sofa with both boys - Charley took a while to resettle downstairs with me, and Ben just appeared at the bottom of the stairs! Normally he wakes and yells for me. This is new...

So we didn't make it to church today. We spent time chilling together, something we don't actually get to do very often. I managed to get some drawing done though, finished off this artwork and got it advertised, although I need to get it photographed again properly to get prints done.

When the sun made an appearance we quickly headed out to the park although a chilly wind sent me scurrying home with Charley as I'd neglected to put on a cardi! Then the most epic of toad-in-the-hole for dinner, made by Steve, followed by a bath for Charley who was covered in gravy, sausage and chocolate mousse. He LOVED that bath. He can sit up properly now so he a sitting-up play, then as Steve hadn't put a great deal of water in he had a lie down play as well and discovered the joys of kicking and splashing and squealing with delight!

Once the boys were settled in bed I even had time for some happy drawing before Charley woke up. Think it's about half-finished now. I'm really enjoying getting back into drawing again, hugely therapeutic!

And so here we are. Ben won't go back to bed without me. My hot chocolate (which I dosed for) is too hot still. Charley is naked but for his nappy, but at least he's asleep. Steve is cuddling Ben and can't watch TV. Everybody is waiting for me!!
