Malvern Hills Trees

I spent the morning sawing firewood with my electric chainsaw. It's a while since I did it last and I was running out of logs short enough to put in the stove. We are threatened with an icy blast that is to arrive overnight and stay a few days. That was to be expected, with a full moon due and the last chance we have to witness the transit of Venus.

This afternoon I went on a short trip into the Malvern Hills. I took this shot at the highest point in the road. The nor'wester was rugged and bitterly cold. The countryside, however was beautiful. The rolling hills are brilliant greens with emerging grain crops and some of the deciduous trees still had a little colour.
