On guard.
There are some incredible formations around the shore of Aotea harbour. The effect of thousands of years of wind and rain on the ancient hauturu sandstones has left shapes such as this. I'm sure it is a prehistoric creature which is guarding the harbour to keep invaders away. We walked up very respectfully and asked permission to proceed further around the shore.
Permission was granted...what a joy to view this landscape.
