Odd Bridge

This is my entry for the Wide Angle Wednesday Challenge, kindly hosted by Chantler63

My photo was taken from a footbridge over the river Calder, and this bridge is situated alongside  -  only maybe 20' away.  The odd thing is that the bridge in the photo is wide enough to take cars and allow for passing too, but the bridge comes from nowhere and goes nowhere, being that the area is a nature reserve. I can't see or find any evidence of any need to get vehicles across the river at this point  -  but obviously any outside chance of another blipper putting me right on this, would be very welcome.
