Big Burn walk..

..catching up with yesterdays blip. Didn't get in until near midnight, and then spent an hour on the phone to my brother. He's been out at his house in Bulgaria, and fallen and broken his arm..

Spent the morning doing accounts stuff. Mine, and Development company..

Met up with Croftcrafts around 2, and drove to Tain to do a bit of shopping. Then ontoo Golspie, where we went for a walk up the "big burn". A lovely little walk, the paths edged in wild garlic (ramsons) just about to come into flower, primroses, oxalis, bluebells, and sedges. The trees are just coming into leaf, and the cherry blossom is out. The walk follows the route of the burn, but cris-crosses the stream on a series of wooden bridges, 6 or 8 of them. At the end is a platform and viewing point for this fall.

Fish supper in Golspie, and then on to Brora where D was judging the entries at the East Sutherland Camera club. Four of us attended from Scourie (West Sutherland!), and we were privileged to see some wonderful photographs. I think we really need to "up" our quality a bit..

A drive home on the single track from Lairg, accompanied by two oncoming lorries, and 100's of deer around Achfary. Had to stop several times to allow them to cross the road..

Home and unpacked, and there was a message on the answerphone..
So I called by brother, and had a good chat..

I'll have to do another entry later!
